LABS FAQ

Common Questions About Lab Work

We keep labs simple, practical, and flexible—no unnecessary testing, no surprise costs.

Can I use my own labs?

Yes. If you have recent labs from the last 12 months, you can upload them at no extra charge. We review them the same way. No need to repeat anything unless clinically necessary.

Can I use HSA/FSA for labs?

Yes — HSA/FSA cards can typically be used.

Why are your lab prices so low?

We partner with national lab networks to access wholesale pricing usually reserved for large clinic systems.
We pass these savings directly to our patients.

No markup. No surprises.

Do labs need to be fasting?

Only a few.

  • Lipid panel → usually fasting
  • Glucose/A1C → depends
  • Hormone labs → often do NOT require fasting

We’ll tell you exactly which ones matter.

How often are labs required?

This depends on your care plan:

  • HRT: usually every 3–6 months
  • Weight management: varies based on medications
  • Primary care: as needed
  • Preventive care: typically annual

We never over-test or run unnecessary panels.

6. Side-by-Side Comparison: Retail vs Wholesale

Yes, if you choose. Some patients use their insurance for Quest or LabCorp labs.Just note: cash-pay pricing is often cheaper and more predictable.

Are labs included in the visit fee?

No.

Visits are kept affordable by separating lab costs. This way, you only pay for what you need and can choose the method that works best for you.

What if I only want one or two labs instead of the full biomarker panel?

Absolutely. If you choose Option B, you don’t have to run all 60 biomarkers. We’ll decide together which labs make sense for your goals and budget.

You can request a basic set (thyroid only, hormones only, etc.), and we’ll help you choose the most meaningful labs to start with.
Just note: certain medications or treatment plans do require additional testing so your provider has a complete and safe clinical picture.

It’s a collaboration — not a pick-and-choose menu.

And importantly, our full 60+ biomarker panel is available at $150 wholesale pricing, which is far below the $350–$600 typically charged at other hormone clinics.

Simple foundations. Smart, modern care. Real outcomes — without unnecessary testing.
